I have been practicing yoga for more years than I care to remember! It has been my saving grace. Literally. I have practiced strongly and keenly, I have practiced restoratively and peacefully and I have not practiced nearly as much as I should! My yoga has been with me through all of my birthing years, and without this practice I know I would not be here offering my services to help you navigate your way through motherhood.
Pregnancy yoga is a passion of mine, I think it is one of the best things you can do for yourself during pregnancy, and the more discomfort you are in, the more you need yoga! I had pelvic girdle pain in both my pregnancies and yoga made an incredible difference for me.
Yoga for motherhood is where I am at right now. These days my yoga practice is shared with my children. Sometimes they join in. Sometimes my 3 year old takes charge and runs the show. Sometimes I get a little bit of peace to practice on my own!
I teach weekly pregnancy yoga classes in Kingswells, Aberdeen. Alongside my weekly classes I teach workshops which combing pregnancy yoga and hypnobirthing to support your preparation for birth. I also offer a variety of One2One packages which can be taught face to face in your home, a studio and online. I offer one 2 one pregnancy yoga sessions across Aberdeen city and Aberdeenshire. These sessions can be face to face or online. The sessions are tailored to your needs and are 1 hour and 15 minutes long and can include any of the following and you can bring a pregnant friend or birth partner for free –
I offer One2One sessions across Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire for busy mums who want to incorporate some yoga into their lives, this can be as little as 10 minutes a day and can include practice with your children and by yourself. I can help you to incorporate yoga into yours and your little ones lives. These sessions are also available online as well as face to face.
As well as my experience of how yoga can help you as a busy mum, I can also share my knowledge and discoveries of how yoga can assist you when you are trying to conceive, or have suffered a miscarriage.
Although not the first thing you might think of doing, a restorative yoga practice can help you to recover and cope with the emotional rollercoaster of these difficult days on your motherhood journey.
